Love. It’s a many splendored thing.
It means never having to say you’re sorry.
It’s patient, kind, and keeps no record of wrongs.
We all know what people say love is but it’s kind of hard to remember these things when our hearts have been broken by the one we love, wouldn’t you agree?
The vast majority of readings I do are love readings and a number of themes seem to recur:
“Do you see my ex and I getting back together?”
“My ex has moved on, but does he still think of me?”
“How does my ex feel about me?”
I never mind reading these questions because you never know what Spirit has in store from one person to another. But I do think this topic warrants just a little love psychic advice.
Even if you were in a relationship in which you were completely miserable and unfulfilled, a breakup sucks. The person that was once by your side has left a void, even if you were the one to call off the relationship. But know this: you are not unlovable and your ex is not the only person out there! Could you get back together? Absolutely; anything is possible. But so often what we fail to realize at the dissolution of a relationship are the lessons learned and the healing required.
We often get out of one relationship and go right into another with no chance to really uncover the lessons learned during the relationship so you know what patterns and signs to look out for in your next relationship, both in a mate and yourself.
Additionally, we try to move on so very quickly without sitting in the heartbreak of it all and allowing yourself to feel and deal with the heartbreak and heartache. If you don’t deal it, the same patterns will follow you from relationship to relationship. You have to sit with your heartbreak and heal it. Take a class. Go for a walk. Take yourself to a movie. You have to really begin to date yourself.
Once you begin dating yourself, it will not matter if your ex still thinks of you because what other people think of you is absolutely none of your business. Furthermore, if your ex were still thinking of you, they’d be contacting you!
There is someone for everyone, friend. Even the lonely one who thinks they’ll never find love. Let your time without love be one in which you work on yourself personally. If you can’t stand your own company, you won’t be able to stand that of another. Or as RuPaul puts it, “If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you gon’ love somebody else?”
